Hair
A Comb Blowout
Official Website

Hair is back on Broadway, and tis kinda hard to tell if it’s better than ever since we weren’t alive during its initial run in ’68, and all we can compare it to is the Milos Forman movie we saw over a decade ago. At the time of its release this musical musta been mind-blowing and bordering on revolutionary, but in today’s climate Hair feels dated, as the issues facing these idyllic and psychedelic anti-war flower power players of the 60s feels kinda petty (at least as hairy, but not as petty as Tom or Richard) and a tad played out… we couldn’t stop thinking about Julie Taymor’s ridiculous, albeit ridiculously fun Across The Universe, which is purty much a rip off of Hair. But Hair is Hair and the songs are awesome like Richard Dawson (the title track, ‘Aquarius’, ‘Let the Sun Shine In’, etc), and they keep on coming one after another. It’s easy to give into all this free love, hispecially since the entire cast gets nekkid at end of the first act (so be sure to pick a favorite honey or homey early on so you can see their family jewels when the moment arises), so raise your index finger next to your middle one and go on and grab a peace of Hair‘s pie

here be plenty o’ photos from the show
