learning that Dan Lauria was able to get the role of patriarch Jack Arnold cause his GIRLFIENDÂ at the time was Joanna Kerns who played Maggie Seaver on Growing Pains, which was created by the same people – Neal Marlens and Carol Black!!!!!!
